After writing and directing a collection of short films, Jackie premiered her first feature film ‘The Inland Road’ in competition at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival. Her second feature ‘The Breaker Upperers’ (created with Madeleine Sami) premiered to rave reviews at SXSW
and sold to Netflix US. Jackie and Madeleine were named TimeOut NZ Entertainers of the Year, 2018.

She co-created the hit NZ TV series ‘Educators’ with comedians Jonny Brugh and Jesse Griffin. It was dubbed by the NZ Herald as “morbidly hysterical…and funny as f**k”. It recently sold to Australia and won a Bronze World Medal at the 2020 New York Festivals.

Jackie’s directed on Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s television spin offs, ‘Wellington Paranormal’ (NZ) and ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ (US). She moved into the commercial space last year directing a comedy campaign for SKY TV. Jackie and Madeleine are currently working with Aggregate Films on the Netflix Rom-Com, ‘Hope’.
